Mr. Matthew Williams

Hello! Mr. Williams here, and this is my first year of teaching at Churchill.

I'm grateful to be part of the Charger family! I already feel connected to this community, as I've lived in the area for three years now. I'm also married to a graduate of Churchill!

My wife and I have two young boys, and my family is such a joy to me.

One of my biggest passions in teaching is to help young people be prepared for the transition to life after high school. I try to promote personal responsibility and critical thinking in all my interactions with my students!

Additionally, I hope to equip my students with practical ways to connect math to their actual lives and to make their academic experience meaningful.

Students: While I may challenge you at times, please know that I'm here to serve you. Don't be afraid to make mistakes in our class - mistakes are part of the learning process. Trust the process, commit yourself to never give up, and I'll help you reach your potential!

Parents: Please know that I want to join you in helping your child continue to develop into the young man or woman that they're designed to be. As a fellow parent, I know it's easy to get wrapped up in our own challenges of life. My ask of you is that you stay involved in your child's academic journey, even as they get closer to graduating and entering adulthood. I will try to be proactive in reaching out when I notice any issues. However, if you feel that your child is starting to struggle in my class, I welcome you to bring that to my attention. That way, we can discuss with your child how to best meet his/her needs.
