Purpose or Mission Statement:
The purpose of the Barbara Bush Middle School National Honor Society chapter is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students at Barbara Bush Middle School.
Membership in this chapter is based on scholarship, service, leadership, and character. To be eligible for selection to membership in this chapter, the candidate must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 90.0000 as of the end of the previous school year. This scholastic level of achievement shall fulfill the scholarship requirement of membership. The candidates’ eligibility shall then be considered on the basis of their service, leadership, and character.

Satisfactory conduct both on and off campus.
Maintain an unweighted GPA of a 90 or higher.Fulfillment of your community service hours. You must have a total of 10 hours,Attendance to all general meetings is required (if missed, your written and signed excuse note is due within one week of the missed meeting). Emails will not be accepted. Sponsors/directors/coaches are NOT responsible for emailing on your behalf if you miss a meeting because of school business. Please see our calendar for all the meeting dates for the school year.
