Kaleigh Melton

Kaleigh has traveled all over growing up in a military family, but has called San Antonio home for the last 8 years. She is trained in various styles of dance with studio experience and continued her training with Ballet Magnificat and also former Radio City Music Hall Rockettes, Debbi Evans. In high school, she was on the Abilene Cooper Cougarette Dance Team snd served as co-captain and captain both her junior and senior year. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Texas State University, where she was a 4 year member of the world famous Texas State Strutters under the direction of Susan Angell-Gonzalez, while being appointed to line officer after her first year. She began her dance directing career at Providence Catholic School for both middle/high school students and directed their dance team for 4 years. She later moved and established the first middle school dance program in 2019 at Garcia Middle School in NISD. Kaleigh has instructed and choreographed for teams across Texas for the last 15 years and currently works for the Tobin Center Generation NEXT Initiative program providing services of the arts to the community. She is extremly grateful for the oppertunity to work and serve NEISD with the establishment of the dance program at Bush Middle School.
