Mr. John Reyes

Hello Bulldog Nation, my name is John Reyes. I have been in education for 24 years. I recieved my Bachelor's of Science with Honors from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 1999. I have spent my career all in the South Texas area between Corpus Christi and San Antonio. I have taught Science, Physical Education, Health, and Technology classes. I will be teaching in the Special Education Department here at Bush. I am the new STEPS (Steps To Effectively Promote Success) teacher. Steps is the new name for what was called Redirection in the past.

I have also coached for the last 24 years, primarily football and basketball, but I do have experience coaching track, cross country, tennis and powerlifting. I will not be coaching for the school system this year. My evenings will be spent coaching wrestling/jiu jitsu at Ohana Academy. I enjoy working out and training jiu jitsu in my spare time with my youngest son. I have an older son who will be playing football at Southwestern University just North of Austin in Georgetown. My wife and I have been married 23 years and look forward to being part of the Bush family.

I look forward to working with the parents and staff at Bush Middle School to provide the best educational opportunties for your students. Please feel free to contact me at jreyes15@neisd.net
