Resigning and Retirement
-
Retirement is an individual decision that only you can make. For most people, retirement is a once in a lifetime event. While steps to retirement can be uncertain, the process is relatively painless. The key is to get started early! STEP ONEThe first step to retirement is to contact TRS to discuss retirement options and choose your retirement date. NEISD will not advise an employee on a retirement date. STEP TWOThe second step to retirement is to make it official with NEISD. Login to LAWSON Employee Center and submit your Retirement/Resignation Request. The request must be approved by your supervisor before it is processed by Human Resources (HR). If you have questions on how to complete the request, contact HR at (210) 407-0188. Once HR has processed your retirement/resignation request, your retirement date and last work date is updated in their system and the information is routed to Payroll.
