Hello! My name is Mary Flores, and I’m proud to serve as the ECSE Co-Teacher at Roan Forest Elementary. This is my third year at Roan Forest and my third year as part of our wonderful Pre-K team.

I was born in El Paso, Texas, and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso. I began my teaching career with the El Paso Independent School District, where I taught for 3 years. I then moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where I spent another 3 years teaching Special Education at the middle school level in Resource, Inclusion, and Self-Contained settings.

I am passionate about helping young learners grow through meaningful, hands-on experiences. My classroom goal is to create a space where students explore, and find joy in discovering new things. My teaching philosophy is to meet each child where they are and support them in the way they learn best.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two sons. I am honored to be part of the Roan Forest family and look forward to another fantastic school year!
