Welcome to Third Grade!
Hello Roan Forest Families!

My name is Mrs. De Los Santos, and I am thrilled to be part of the third grade team at Roan Forest Elementary for the 2025–2026 school year! I’m looking forward to a year filled with fun, growth, and exciting learning adventures. While I can’t wait to get to know each of my students, I’d love to start by sharing a little about myself.

I was born in Del Rio, Texas, and graduated from Sul Ross State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies (EC–6). Most recently, I completed my Master’s degree in Educational Administration—a step forward in my continued commitment to education and leadership. I began my teaching journey with San Felipe–Del Rio CISD, where I worked for 7 years before moving to San Antonio with my wonderful family. My husband, Paul, and I are proud parents of twin boys who have graduated from college, and our daughter Emma, who is about to begin her journey as a Texas A&M Aggie.

This is my 8th year teaching at "The Forest", and I feel incredibly grateful to be part of the NEISD family. In 2022–2023, I was honored to be named Teacher of the Year at Roan Forest and was also a District Teacher of the Year Finalist and Trinity Prize in Excellence in Education Award a recognition that means so much to me. I truly love what I do. I cherish my students, my school, our amazing community, and my third-grade team.

In my classroom, every child is seen, heard, and valued. I believe that each student brings unique strengths, talents, and perspectives, and it’s my mission to nurture those qualities and help them shine. I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where curiosity is encouraged, ideas are respected, and learning is joyful.

It is truly an honor to be your child’s teacher this year. I look forward to an incredible journey together filled with discovery, connection, and growth.
