  • Future Farmers of America

    The letters "FFA" stand for Future Farmers of America, a part of AMP's history and heritage. FFA is not just for students interested in production farming, it welcomes members aspiring to careers as teachers, doctors, scientists, business owners, and more. To reflect the growing diversity and new opportunities in agriculture, the organization's name was updated in 1988 after a vote by national convention delegates.

    Today, the National FFA Organization remains committed to providing students with a path to achievement in premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. FFA continues to help the next generation rise up to meet challenges by assisting members in developing their unique talents and exploring a broad range of agricultural career pathways.

    While FFA still stands for Future Farmers of America, it also represents Future Biologists, Future Chemists, Future Veterinarians, Future Engineers, and Future Entrepreneurs of America, reflecting the diverse career opportunities in the agriculture industry.

  • Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE)

    The Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is a cornerstone of agricultural education, integrating seamlessly with classroom instruction and FFA activities to provide an interactive learning experience. Mandatory for all students, SAEs offer an invaluable opportunity to explore a range of careers, develop professional behaviors, acquire industry-specific skills, and apply academic concepts in real or simulated work settings.
