• AMP Student Requirements & Expectations

  • Students in the AMP must meet high standards and be actively involved. All magnet students must:

    1. Submit an NEISD Magnet Common Application before enrolling.
    2. Actively participate in AMP by:
      • Maintaining an approved Supervised Agriculture Experience Program (SAEP)
      • Participating in Career Development Events (CDEs) and/or Leadership Development Events (LDEs)
      • Participating in a minimum of two FFA activities per semester
      • Completing community service and/or volunteerism
    1. Maintain satisfactory attendance, grades, and behavior per the NEISD Code of Conduct. The campus administration can revoke enrollment for violations.
    2. Pass all classes with a minimum 70 average and 80 average in agriculture courses.
    3. Maintain satisfactory conduct per the NEISD Code of Conduct and Campus Behavior Plan. DAEP placement may result in removal from the program.
    4. Maintain satisfactory attendance to receive course credit.
    5. Use provided transportation if residing in NEISD. Students outside the area must arrange transportation to their home campus to use the shuttle. Out-of-district students must provide their own transportation.

    These guidelines maintain student progress and program integrity. Magnet status is reviewed each semester, with dismissal or probation based on violation severity.

    Students transferring to AMP are usually ineligible for varsity sports for 1 year. Consult the NEISD Athletics Department regarding UIL regulations and options.
