Hello, Redland Oaks Elementary Families! Welcome back for the 2025-2026 school year. My name is Carl Groff and I have been educating elementary students for thirty years. I am thrilled to be back for my second year at Redland Oaks as a fourth grade teacher! I have spent the last 26 years teaching 2nd-4th graders in NEISD, and before that I taught 3rd grade for 4 years at a private school. I have lived in San Antonio my entire life. I graduated from UTSA in 1994 with a BBA in accounting. Then I obtained my teacher's certification. I am proud to say I am a product of an NEISD school, graduating from Churchill High School in 1990. I have two awesome sons, a wonderful wife, and one adorable granddaughter! My oldest son graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in civil engineering. Whoop! My younger son graduated from Texas A&M with a History degree, and he is a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. Both of my sons attended North East schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade which well-prepared them for college and beyond. When I am not busy teaching I enjoy watching sports and spending time outdoors. I love hiking in state and national parks. I am looking forward to an amazing school year with my new students. Every day is a new adventure!
