Hello, my name is Samantha Traphagan, and I am a first grade teacher at Redland Oaks Elementary. I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to teach my students all the information needed for them to succeed inside and outside the classroom while having plenty of fun!

I was the S.T.E.A.M. Lab Facilitator for 3 years here at Redland and this will be my 2nd year as a first grade teacher. I have my Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Texas at San Antonio (Go Roadrunners!). I have an EC-6 Certification from Teachworthy as well as an ESL certification.

Some fun facts about me are that I love to read, spend time with my family, and go to the movies. I also went to Redland Oaks during my elementary years and am honored to have the opportunity to teach at such an amazing school with a kind and welcoming community!
