• Grading:

    Category 1: 30%- Daily work, small assignments (Generally something that should be completed during one class period or by the end of the day.

    Category 2: 30%- More complex daily work that requires more time (Generally 2-3 days or so of class)

    Category 3: 40%- Summative assessments, essays, projects. 

     

    Late Work:

    Work can be submitted up to 3 weeks late, until the unit is over or assessed, or until the end of the grading period, whichever comes FIRST.

    Late work will influence the student's citizenship grades on Skyward as well as impact their qualifications for honor societies and exam exemptions.

    CZ codes will also be used to document other non-academic behavior that may be part of a documented behavior plan for the student (i.e. behavior and/or academic integrity)

    Timeliness indicators:

    E = Excellent - 67% or more of daily assignments and/or projects are submitted on-time

    S = Satisfactory - 55 - 66% of daily of daily assignments and/or projects are submitted on-time

    N = Needs Improvement - 43 - 54% of daily assignments and/or projects are submitted on-time

    U = Unsatisfactory - 42% or less of daily assignments and/or projects are submitted on-time

    Revisions:

    Category 1 Daily work is not eligible for revision. However, work that falls under Categories 2 or 3 may be revised under the following conditions: The assignment was originally submitted ON TIME, the original earned grade was lower than an 80. Revisions can be made for UP TO an 80% as that is considered mastery of the content standards being assessed.
