• Engineering Pathways at SETA

As a magnet school program, SETA is able to offer a variety of academic pathways available to students. Our comprehensive curriculum, developed in collaboration with NASA and our advisory board, ensures that students receive a well-rounded education in their selected engineering pathway.

Our extensive curriculum offers four distinct pathways and each provides students with diverse career opportunities within the engineering industry. Our pathways include:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Aviation Technology
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering
  • Each pathway is designed to provide students with specialized skills and knowledge in their respective fields. By offering a variety of pathways into the engineering industry, we aim to cater to the specialized interests and talents of our students, allowing them to graduate from SETA with industry-recognized certifications.

Depending on the chosen pathway, SETA students have the flexibility to make immediate transitions into the workforce after graduation. Some pathways, such as those including aircraft certifications, may be better suited for those who wish to pursue continued education at post-secondary institutions. However, regardless of the pathway selected, all SETA students will graduate with numerous opportunities within the engineering workforce.

SETA is committed to preparing students for the engineering jobs of the future. By leveraging our connections with industry partners, SETA is actively developing internship and job opportunities for future students of the magnet school program. Through these connections, students will establish valuable networks while advancing their real-world experience, knowledge, and skills for their future careers.

Aerospace Engineering

The Aerospace Pathway offers dynamic educational exploration in scientific research, laboratory testing, and research & development across the cutting-edge industry. Students gain hands-on experience designing, testing, and evaluating projects involving engines, machines, and structures. They apply scientific and mathematical evidence to solve problems through innovation, construction, operation, and maintenance of various engineering systems. Students can also obtain an industry certification the Autodesk Associate Certified User Certification, to boost their resume and career. By focusing on advanced academics, the Aerospace Pathway opens doors to rewarding opportunities in the ever-evolving aerospace sector.
