• Student Life at SETA

SETA is committed to providing an exceptional student experience that is supported by an educational curriculum that develops students by expanding their skill sets and preparing them for successful careers in engineering. Our magnet school program offers a comprehensive educational journey from 6th to 12th grade, allowing students to obtain a career certification that relates to their selected high school academic pathway.

    Advanced Academics

As part of our commitment to well-rounded education, every SETA High School student undergoes two years of computer programming training, regardless of their selected pathway. This ensures that all students gain the essential skills required in the rapidly advancing technological landscape. To further enrich our educational experience, we are actively developing internships and job opportunities in collaboration with our industry partners and the city of San Antonio. In the near future, our magnet school program will provide summer and yearlong opportunities, enabling students to network with professionals in the field while furthering their education.

    College & Career Prep

Our dedication to curriculum and education sets the stage for students to thrive, empowering our students to choose the path that best suits their aspirations. We take pride in creating opportunities for students that, combined with our extensive network and resources, help establish a career path for every student in the SETA magnet school program. Upon graduation, students can seamlessly transition into the workforce, thanks to our industry-recognized certifications. However, certain pathways at SETA are better suited for those interested in pursuing higher education.

    NASA & Our Advisory Board

With a strong emphasis on magnet education, SETA stands out due to our Space Agreement Act with NASA. The curriculum at SETA goes beyond traditional education by incorporating the knowledge, experience, and resources of NASA through our partnership. NASA has stationed an employee directly on campus, integrating legitimate experiences, standards, and the latest advancements from NASA into our education and resources. In addition to our Space Agreement Act with NASA, our advisory board consists of industry leaders, higher education representatives, and experienced community members, all bringing decades of expertise to SETA. This collaboration ensures that our curriculum aligns with the evolving needs of the engineering industry.
