Meet Ms. Betancourts

Hello and welcome! My name is Jeanette Betancourt, and I’m so excited to be part of your child’s learning journey in third grade this year! I am a proud wife and mom of four amazing children. With 25 years of experience in education, I’ve had the joy of teaching every grade from kindergarten through fourth and third grade is one of my absolute favorites!

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Human Services from Wayland Baptist University, as well as a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Currently, I’m furthering my education with a Master of Science in Psychotherapy from Texas Tech University as I work toward a second degree in mental health services with a focus on children and families.

In addition to being an educator, I’m also a writer with exciting plans to publish my first book in the near future. I’m passionate about creating supportive, emotionally safe learning environments where students feel seen, heard, and empowered to thrive. I love learning about how to support students’ emotional well-being and believe that a foundation of trust and care is key to unlocking their full potential.

Outside the classroom, I host online book clubs and peer support groups, and I’m actively involved in volunteer work with local nonprofits, especially those supporting children who have experienced abuse. I also love to travel, try new foods, and say “yes” to new adventures!

I’m truly honored to teach and grow with your child this year. My classroom is a place where every student belongs, is encouraged, and can shine!
