My name is Tanya Norris.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin.  I am a diehard Longhorn fan and I bleed orange!!! GO HORNS!!!!

I took a break from my career to stay home for several years having children. I have 5 children that range in age from 38 to 25. I am very proud of them. They are all either currently in college or college graduates.

When I rejoined the workforce, I decided I wanted to become a teacher.  I did graduate studies and completed my teaching certificate at Texas State University. GO CATS!!

This is my 19th year teaching for NEISD at Steubing Ranch Elementary.  I was here to open the school and my children attended school here as well. I am certified Early Childhood through 6th grade and ESL. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I currently teach 5th grade.

When I am away from school I love to ski, kayak, and hike in Colorado. At home, I love to spend time with my dogs. My ideal day is lying in a hammock, reading a great book, and looking at a mountain.
