Welcome to Kindergarten! I'm Tina Galindo. I grew up in the Northeast and graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I completed my Masters Degree from Benedictine University in Chicago.  I have my ELL and Reading Academies Certification. This will be my 16th year teaching and my 13th year in NEISD. I've taught Kinder, 1st and 2nd grade.

When I'm not teaching, I'm a mom of 3, my youngest will be attending UIW and my other 2 are recent college graduates.  We love spending time with family in Galveston and enjoy our beach time. I also have a Scottie that we rescued and two cats that my daughter fostered and then adopted.

I'm excited to share my love of learning and experience in reading instruction.  I believe in planning developmentally appropriate instruction with lots of opportunities for hands-on learning.  I am looking forward to an amazing school year and partnering with each family as we work together to guide your child's educational growth.
