My name is Kathryn Ortiz; and I am excited to be your child’s teacher! I have been teaching since 1995 and joined the NEISD family in 2013. I have taught Pre-K, K, 2nd grade, and 5th grade.

The opportunity to teach your child is a responsibility I take very seriously. I will motivate, comfort, and appreciate your child and all the gifts he or she is bringing to our classroom. However, as parents you are the most important people in your child’s education. Whether it’s helping your child study basic concepts, or simply asking, “What did you learn about in school today?”; your encouragement and interest make a huge difference. I will keep you informed about the concepts we are working on in class, as well as any special events going on at the campus. With your help and support, we will have a wonderful and productive year!
