Welcome to the 2025-26 School Year!

My name is Jennifer Montemayor, and this will be my 23rd year in education. I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Early Childhood Education. I began my teaching career at Fox Run Elementary, where I taught both kindergarten and first grade. In 2005, I joined Bulverde Creek Elementary when it first opened its doors, and I have proudly called it home ever since.

In 2011, I was honored to be Bulverde Creek’s nominee for the Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching, and in 2012, I received the PTA Life Membership Award. In October 2020, I was recognized by The New York Times for my work with Seesaw and was featured in an article highlighting Seesaw’s role in virtual learning. As a Seesaw Certified Educator, my activities have reached over 4 million students worldwide. Most recently, I was named Bulverde Creek Elementary’s 2022 Teacher of the Year.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, traveling, watching sports, crafting, and spending time with my family and my sweet dog, Piper. Teaching is my passion, and I can’t wait to share my love of learning with your child. I believe in creating a nurturing and supportive environment where students feel safe and excited to learn.
