Mrs. Kara Salinas

Hello Lopez MS Panthers! I am an experienced educator with over 11 years of teaching high school students in Fine Arts, Art History, Dual Credit Art Appreciation, CTE courses such as Architecture, AV II, Animation I/II Lab, and Yearbook/Journalism. Many of my former students are studying illustration and animation at colleges such as Savannah College of Art & Design, and at UIW 3D Animation & Game Design. I am thrilled to be joining NEISD and teaching at Lopez MS. We are a military family with my husband proudly serving as an SSG in the US Army National Guard. I have two children, one is a Reagan HS graduate currently in college, and our youngest is an elementary student. Our family loves to spend time outdoors, visiting art museums, graphic novels, comics, Disney, and super hero movies/TV franchises like Spiderman Spider-Verse! I love learning, art, technology, creating, and I am so proud to have a public artist listing on the City of San Antonio Arts & Culture webpage: PASA.
