I was born into a large military family. I spent a good deal of time as a child traveling around the United States when my dad was assigned to different bases.

   Our family moved to Texas in my senior year and I am a graduate of MacArthur High School here in NEISD. I went on to college starting at San Antonio Junior College and transferring up to Texas A&M. I graduated from Texas A&M in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education.

    My teaching history:

• Caldwell High School for 2 years (math)
• Clear Spring Elementary School for 9 years (3rd, 4th, and 5th)
• MacArthur Park Lutheran School for 4 years (5th, 6th-8th)
• Krueger Middle School for 1 year (6th-8th SSI Math)  
• Fox Run Elementary School for 13 years (4th, 5th)

      I am married to a wonderful man, who teaches GT math at Tejeda M.S., and have 3 beautiful children. I have a 29-year old daughter who is engaged. She will also have my second grandbaby in February. My next child is my 26-year old engaged son, who will wed this December. I also have a recently graduated daughter who starts college this fall.

   I enjoy the outdoors, camping, swimming, traveling the United States, reading, sewing, scrapbooking, drawing portraits, and spending time with family and friends. One of the most exciting things I have ever done was travelling to China to adopt my youngest child.  

    I hope to inspire all students to do their best and never give up on learning.
