Mrs. Sarah Hammons

Hi! My name is Sarah Hammons and I am a dedicated, fun-loving, passionate teacher. I am married to my wonderful husband and we have two teenage boys both who attend college. I also have one cat named French Fry and a sweet dog named Daisy who keeps me company when my boys are away. My hobbies include gardening, going on vacation (mostly to the beach) and spending time with my family. 

During my teaching career I have taught in several different districts as well as different grades. I have been teaching for over 23 years and have teaching experience in kindergarten, first, second, third and fourth grade. This will be my 7th year at Wilshire. I taught first grade for three before being moved to fourth grade for two years and then in 2019-2020 back to first grade! I am so happy to be back in the grade I LOVE so much. I look forward to a wonderful year with bright smiling faces.

Parents are equally important as the classroom teacher is in their child's successful education. Support needs to come from home as well as school. Please contact me through email if you have any questions or concerns. Also please allow for at least 24 hours for a response.
