Marisa Miller

Hello, everyone! My name is Marisa Miller and I teach 7th grade ELAR (English Language Arts and Reading) here at Jackson.

The 2023-2024 school year will be my fifth year working at JMS, and I LOVE being a part of the Jaguar family! My journey in the Education field has taken me from teaching at the elementary level in Judson ISD, to a Special Education Instructional Assistant position here at Jackson, and finally to my position as a 7th grade ELAR teacher! 

Among my many interests are music, pop culture, boy bands, cats (I have two), record and book collecting, and spending time with family and friends. Reading and writing are things I love both inside and outside of the classroom, so I am looking forward to working with my students and encouraging them to love both activities just as much as I do.
