Mrs. Taylor
Janelle Taylor is thrilled to be partnering with Mrs. Trammell and Mrs. Lewis in supporting the Lopez Choir students. Coming from a very musical family, Mrs. Taylor has been immersed in music since a very young age. She trained in Classical Vocal Performance for over 16 years and was a three-time All-Region Choir performer in Pennsylvania. She has performed as a soloist at weddings, funerals, church services, and with the Burbank Chorale in Los Angeles, CA. She also has a background in Musical Theater and plays the guitar, piano and saxophone.
Mrs. Taylor recently moved to San Antonio with her family. She met her husband of 17 years, Matt Taylor, in Los Angeles, CA and bonded immediately over their love for music and theater. She has two daughters; Addy, who is a freshman at Reagan High School and Emma, who is in 6th grade at Lopez Middle School. Both daughters share Ms. Taylor’s love for singing and participate in the school choir programs.
Mrs. Taylor is very excited to be coaching the students and supporting them on their musical journey. She believes in a positive instructional approach filled with support and affirmation. She is eager to help students with their vocal technique, musicianship and confidence. Mrs. Taylor believes that music is a gift; not only for those who hear it, but for the singers themselves, for it provides joy, healing, and inspiration for the soul.
