I am excited to return to Coker for my 12th year as the music teacher. I love being a part of the Coker community and helping grow the music program. I believe every student has the ability to make music through singing, saying, playing and moving. I am a certified Orff-Schulwerk teacher and love to incorporate the Orff process in my classroom. 

I was born in Valdosta, Georgia into a military family. I have lived all over the United States including Georgia, Texas, Montana and Maryland. I graduated high school from John Paul Stevens High School in Northside ISD here in San Antonio. I then received my Bachelors of Music in Music Education with my EC-12 certification from the University of Texas at San Antonio. While at UTSA I performed in several ensembles including the Wind Ensemble, Orchestra and Men’s Choir. I was also a member of the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band during the inaugural year. I have completed my Orff Schulwerk Certification and Master Class from Trinity University. I have had the opportunity to present clinics at the Texas Music Educator's Association Convention in 2022, 2023, and 2024. I have also presented workshops focusing on children's books for Humble ISD. I currently serve as the Past President for the Central Texas Orff Chapter in San Antonio, who helps bring in professional development for local music teachers. 

My wife, Bethany, and I have been married since June 2015 and have two daughters, Grace and Tessa. My oldest is now a second grader at Coker Elementary and my youngest will begin PreK this year. We enjoy being parents and watching our daughters grow. We also love our fur babies as well. We have a wonderful mutt of a dog named Bella and a crazy Red Healer Ruby and two cats, Helios and Artemis.
