I grew up in Southern California and went to college at Westmar University in LeMars, IA, where I received my BA in Mathematics with a minor in Physics. I completed my teaching credential through Drake University in Des Moines, IA.  I taught for 5 years at Moorpark High School in Moorpark, CA. I then moved to San Antonio, TX and taught 5 years at Churchill H.S. I had the privilege of opening Claudia Taylor Johnson High School in 2008. In 2018, I decided to take a break from the classroom and stay home with my children but in 2022 I returned to the CTJ Family.

My husband is the athletic coordinator at Tejeda Middle School. We have six children. Our three oldest graduated from Johnson H.S. in 2020, 2023 & 2025. We enjoy spending time at our family lake house in Minnesota fishing, kayaking, wakeboarding and relaxing. 

I am a proud Johnson parent and excited to be back as a faculty member of CTJ.  Go Jags!!!
