Mr. Wesley Perkins

Mr. Perkins is in his 25th year of teaching music education, his 7th here at Madison HS and 6th year as the Head Director. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelors Degree of Music Education. Prior to his teaching with the Mighty Mavericks Band, Mr. Perkins taught High School for 14 years at O'Connor HS and 4 years of Middle School at Seguin ISD. Mr. Perkins is a former TMEA Band Division Chair for both Region 11 and Region 29 and also served as the Conductor of the Fiesta Herald Trumpets for the Fiesta Band Festival for nearly a decade. In his younger days Mr. Perkins was a soloist for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, and was a lead trumpet player in the Texas Tech Goin Band From Raiderland. Mr. Perkins is a current active member of the Texas Band Masters Association as well as the Texas Music Education Association. Go Mavs Band!!!
