This year is my 23rd year of teaching, and my 10th year at Bradley Middle School!  Previously, I spent 13 years teaching 4th and 5th grade. Eleven of those years were at Hidden Forest.  I spent my first two years also teaching 4th/5th grade, in Santa Clara, California.  In July 2005, I moved from San Jose, California to live here in the beautiful city of San Antonio.

I graduated from San Jose State University in 2001, where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Music (I play the flute); and yes, I was in the marching band for six years, and I loved it. In July 2003, I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz (Go Banana Slugs!), where I received my Master’s degree in Education. 

My family lives in the Bradley community.  Our daughter, Meredith, is a senior at Churchill High School. Our son, Henry, is in the 4th grade at Hidden Forest. We also have two chihuahuas, Lizzie and Patches, two cats, Checkers and June, 2 parakeets, Clover and Sweet Pea, and finally, 4 hermit crabs that live at school most of the time. 

I love reading, puzzles, paint-by-number, crafts, music and theater, hot-rod cars, sushi, Starbucks, and teaching SCIENCE. I hope to some day get back into horseback riding now that my kids are a little older.
