Hello! I'm Maria delCarmen Ortega, and I'm incredibly blessed to be a Regency Knight! I'm joining the team as a 4th grade dual language teacher, and I couldn't be more excited. I hold a Master's in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a focus on Management, both from the University of Texas at Brownsville. My certifications include Early Childhood through 4th Grade Bilingual, as well as a Principalship Certification for Early Childhood through 12th Grade.

What truly drives me is igniting a passion for learning among my students and helping them discover their individual interests. I'm also deeply committed to building strong bridges between parents, students, and teachers, because I believe that's where true educational magic happens.

When I'm not in the classroom, I'm a happily married mom to two wonderful children and a proud grandma to two amazing grandchildren. My favorite way to unwind is by spending time and sharing meals with my family, and, of course, cuddling with our dog, Peanut!

¡Hola! Soy Maria delCarmen Ortega, y estoy increíblemente bendecida de ser una Regency Knight. Me uno al equipo como maestra de cuarto grado de lenguaje dual, ¡y no podría estar más emocionada! Tengo una Maestría en Liderazgo Educativo y una Licenciatura en Administración de Empresas con especialización en Gerencia, ambas de la Universidad de Texas en Brownsville. Mis certificaciones incluyen Educación Bilingüe de Primera Infancia hasta cuarto grado, así como una Certificación de Directora para Primera Infancia hasta el grado 12.

Lo que realmente me impulsa es encender la pasión por aprender en mis estudiantes y ayudarles a descubrir sus intereses individuales. También estoy profundamente comprometida a construir puentes sólidos entre padres, estudiantes y maestros, porque creo que ahí es donde ocurre la verdadera magia educativa.

Cuando no estoy en el aula, soy una mamá felizmente casada con dos hijos maravillosos y una abuela orgullosa de dos nietos increíbles. Mi forma favorita de relajarme es pasar tiempo y compartir comidas con mi familia y, por supuesto, ¡acurrucarme con nuestra perrita, Peanut!
