Ms. Najera

Hola! My name is Valeria Najera Zavala, and I'm a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.F.A. in Theatre Education. I am a theatre artist-educator from Ciudad Juárez, Mexico who grew up in various Texas cities. After moving away from Mexico, the theatre became my home in 5th grade when I got to form incredible bonds with the cast members of my first production, Hot Rod. While the stages and cast have changed since then, my passion for storytelling and community building remains constant. The opportunity for self-exploration and connection keeps me pursuing new stories. It is truly magical to share the transformative power of theatre with others. 

In my free time, I dedicate myself to admiring pop stars, binging reality TV, and enjoying the beauty of nature. I dream of becoming an artisanal bread baker or a recycled clothing fashion designer! Please show me pictures of your pets, I love all animals (:
