Hello everyone!  Welcome to my staff page.  I am honored to serve at Krueger Middle School, teaching 6th grade English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) to students enrolled in the Space and Engineering Technologies Academy (SETA).  This is my first year at Krueger, and also my first year in NEISD.  Last year, I completed my 15th year as a teacher in San Antonio ISD.   I have taught all core subjects to students from 4th through 12th grades.  My favorite subject as a teacher has always been ELAR because I believe that it is foundational to all other subjects.  Our two main goals in ELAR at SETA are improving students' communication skills and their critical thinking skills.

I graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  For my first career, I conducted taste and smell research at Duke University.  My science background, along with a lifelong love of the space program, have led me to be honored to teach our SETA sixth graders.  We are going to have an amazing school year!
