My name is Tess Villarreal and I am so excited to be a part of the Thousand Oaks Elementary family, teaching Second Grade. I am a San Antonio native and I grew up in the North East school district. I attended Oklahoma State University, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I love to cook, travel, spend time with my family, and go to the lake.

My teaching philosophy is to always provide a positive learning environment and strive to develop differentiated and fun learning opportunities in the classroom. In addition to building a strong academic foundation for my students, I am also a strong advocate for building upon students' emotional, social, personal, and intellectual skills. 

This is my 1st year teaching at Thousand Oaks and I am looking forward to all this school year has to offer. It is going to be a wonderful year!
