I grew up in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Fort Collins, Colorado.  I attended Poudre R-1 school district and Colorado State University in my hometown. I graduated with my bachelors degree from Colorado State University. I pursued and completed my Masters in School Administration from Texas A&M University Kingsville in 2004. I have taught grades 2-5 for the past 28 years. 

I enjoy spending my free time with my husband, two beautiful daughters, two dogs and cats. Both of my daughters are graduates of NEISD schools and now live in Austin. My youngest is a film editor for TV and a Longhorn. My oldest daughter is completing her real estate license.  I have one blue heeler/great Pyranese mix and 5 stray kitties that have adopted me. In the summertime you might find me playing piano, bells or  singing in church choir. I also enjoy reading or hiking through the Rocky Mountains (please tell me about your favorite hike--I may have to try it)! My main activity during summer vacation is finding a creative and engaging way to teach you! I look forward to meeting you in August!
