Hello Coyote Families!   I am Veronica Lopez.  I am so excited to be teaching PreK once again this year. This is my 28th year teaching Early Childhood and I absolutely love being one of the first teachers to get children ready for a life-long love of learning.  

I graduated from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State University) with both my bachelors and my master’s in Education.  I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.  I wanted the chance to help young children grow and learn in a positive and exciting environment.  I enjoy seeing their faces light up when they learn how to do something they never knew they could do, or when they try something for the first time and find out it was not as difficult as they thought. Every child has the power to do and be anything they choose as long as they try.  I am here to help them do just that!

When I am not teaching at school, I enjoy spending time with my 3 growing boys.  I have an eleventh grader at DATA-Roosevelet, eighth grader at Dobie Jr High and sixth grader at DATA Ed White. I am so proud of each of them.  Keeping up with three boys is fun and exhausting at the same time.  So we are always finding fun and exciting ways to enjoy being outside playing sports or hanging out together watching movies staying cool.
