Mrs. Melissa Thurmond
I was born in San Antonio and attended elementary school in NEISD. I attended middle school in Lubbock, Texas, and high school in Honolulu, Hawaii. I graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have an ESL certification (English as a Second Language). I have twenty-seven years of teaching experience. I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Third Grade. I have been married for thirty-one years to my wonderful husband, Roger. I have three sons Tyler, Blake, and Luke. I enjoy spending time with my family. I LOVE being a mom and feel truly blessed. I have a passion for teaching Pre-K & Kinder and LOVE children! I maintain a strong commitment to student achievement as I nurture, guide, and inspire my students to reach their highest potential and develop a love of learning. I look forward to a wonderful year with my Pre-K kids!
