U.I.L. Team

Stone Oak Elementary was the first elementary school in NEISD to start UIL teams. Now there are only 2 other elementary schools that have UIL teams as well. Students join UIL and attend after school practices and are able to pick 1 or 2 UIL teams to be on. The teams range from Social Studies, to Oral Reading, Number Sense, Spelling, and even Chess. UIL is designed to complement and expand upon what students are learning in the classroom. Students learn specific subject knowledge and skills to apply across disciplines. They then compete with their peers at a UIL Competition here at Stone Oak.
