Mrs. Rachel R. Bikle

I am excited to be teaching 3rd Grade this year at Larkspur!  I have been teaching for 19 years, and I taught 3rd Grade in my first year of teaching.  My teaching career began in Corpus Christi, Texas though San Antonio is my hometown.  We were a military family stationed in Naples, Italy when my husband accepted a position in Corpus Christi.  My previous career had been as a radiological technologist in surgery at University Hospital here in San Antonio.  The majority of my teaching career has been as a bilingual teacher in 5th Grade.  I thoroughly enjoy teaching all subjects! I have guided many students through the Science Fair, talent shows, community projects, and helped with the running teams.  Adopting a beach for Earth Day is a favorite event of my classroom, and running in Beach2Bay in Corpus Christi is also another favorite.   In my spare time, I love to run, swim, and basically stay active.  I also love to travel, and I have been blessed to have visited several countries.  I have to say, though, that being at the beach is my happy place!  I am anticipating a fantastic year, and though we may have our challenges, I am confident that together we will continue to grow and make a difference in our home that we call Larkspur and San Antonio!
