• I'm excited for the 2024-2025 school year—my 17th year in NEISD and 13th as the G/T teacher at Olmos Elementary! I hold multiple Texas Educator Certifications, including elementary and secondary education, Pre-AP Math and Science, and K-12 G/T instruction.

Beyond the classroom, I coach our award-winning Olmos VEX Robotics teams, which had a remarkable 2023-2024 season. Our teams earned multiple awards at the NEISD Regional Qualifier and qualified for the 2024 VEX World Championship at the VEX Robotics Region IV State Championship!

I launched my first NEEF-funded technology club at Olmos in 2016 and now sponsor two successful coding clubs, the Owlettes Who Code and the Techno-OWLS, both reaching full capacity each year. For over a decade, I’ve also co-sponsored the Olmos Dance Club alongside our amazing music teacher, where our students shine in school and PTA performances. Additionally, as an NEISD Arts Integration Ambassador, I collaborate with the Tobin Center to create arts-integrated learning experiences for our students.

I’m honored to be a two-time NEISD Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching recipient and a former NEISD Teacher of the Year for Olmos. One of my most meaningful recognitions is being chosen by NEISD Summa Cum Laude Graduates as their Honoree Teacher for three consecutive years—a reminder of the lasting impact of early learning experiences.

A proud San Antonio native and NEISD Honor graduate (Windcrest ES, Ed White MS, Roosevelt HS), I’ve been married to my wonderfully supportive husband for 30 years. Both of our children are NEISD K-12 Honor graduates. Our son, a UTSA Distinguished Presidential Scholar, majored in Cybersecurity and Information Systems & Technology and is a Network Systems Administrator. Our daughter, a UT-Austin Dean's Honored Graduate, majored in Textile and Apparel and is an Apparel Designer at a leading global retailer. Now that our nest is empty, we fill our home with love from our two rescued Huskies!
