Once upon a time… at Churchill High School.

Turns out Prom is a pretty big deal. That why Churchill High School’s Family Engagement Liason, Joergina Gonzalez, called in some help from some volunteer Fairy Godmothers to help make dreams come true for our students.

She called it “Project Fairytale.” It gave all North East ISD high students the chance to select dresses, suits, shoes and accessories for prom and end-of-year school celebrations free-of-charge. All the clothing was donated by generous community members.

“’Project Fairytale’ was more than just an event; it was a testament to the power of compassion and unity,” said Gonzalez. “Through the collective efforts of the community, NEISD student volunteers, principals and Family Engagement staff, students will not only be able to attend prom and end-of-year celebrations in style but will also be reminded of the unwavering support surrounding them. This initiative not only enriched the students' experiences but also exemplified the true meaning of coming together to make dreams a reality the NEISD way.”
