Anchors Away! ⚓⚓⚓
The Sea Chanters, a component of the U.S. Navy Band, stopped by Nimitz Middle School today for a show-stopping performance. The Sea Chanters tour this area of the country every five years, and Nimitz was the band’s only stop in San Antonio.
The award-winning ensemble performs a variety of music including traditional choral music, sea chanteys, patriotic fare, opera, Broadway and contemporary music.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our Nimitz students to witness a performance of this caliber from the Sea Chanters. After the show, Nimitz students had the chance to ask questions during a Q&A session with band members.
