Mrs. Wallace

Maritza Wallace was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Saint Brendan High School in 2016 before attending Miami Dade College, where she earned her Associate's degree in English in 2018. She then pursued her Bachelor's degree in English Literature at Florida International University, graduating in 2020. Mrs. Wallace earned her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in English from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in June 2025.

Mrs. Wallace began her career in education in 2021 as an elementary instructional discretionary paraprofessional. Her passion for teaching soon led her to transition in 2022 to teaching English for grades 6-12 in an alternative school setting. She has now found her niche as a STEM Academy English teacher at LEE High School, where she continues to inspire and educate her students.

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Wallace enjoys reading, browsing bookstores, and catching up on her favorite shows. She’s an animal lover and shares her home with two cats, Daphne and Skipper, who sometimes find their way into her stories and conversations.
